DIY Modern Beanbag Pouf

A simple tutorial if you know how to sew and makes a great addition to most homes to add extra seating or a footrest. I think one of my investments in the next year or two will be in a sewing machine. While I can sew and hem by hand, it would just be so much simpler if I had a machine!

DIY Colourful Pallet Rack

What a fun and easy way to create some extra hanging storage through upcycling a wood pallet. Would be great for a sideroom or for kids to hang their stuff and you can paint it whatever colour suits your needs. Tutorial following the link.

DIY Coffee Table Transformation to Ottoman

I love the idea of a huge ottoman, so I'm bookmarking this tutorial for future reference and also for any couch sections I need to redo. Love the pattern chosen for this one as well, it adds a small pop of concentrated colour for any living room!

Colourful Fabrics

We don't have much in the way of fabrics to buy here, but looking at pictures with these colourful and interesting fabrics makes me wish we did! So much potential just peeking out from these cubbies.

DIY Braided Headbands

How cute, and a great way to recycle old headbands that you don't use anymore. I may have to dig up some old fabric and try it out next weekend. Tutorial following the link.

DIY Terrariums

What a great idea to have a little planting party. These are pretty adorable and would be quite low maintenance for most people.

DIY Weekend Art Project

Inspired to do some of my own simple projects this weekend now that I'm back from vacation and into the swing of things. This seems like fun and I have all the materials on hand already! It would be a great way to add some colour and dimension to an otherwise neutral toned room.

DIY Headboard

A clever idea is to use an oversized print for a modern looking headboard in the bedroom. While I have a short one built into my frame, I do keep a rather large IKEA black and white image of Amsterdam above, giving a similar illusion!

Some great ideas for additional headboards following the link.

DIY Updating an Old Dresser

Love this update of an old dresser, especially with typography elements! I think it's a clever way to use gift wrap that you really like as decor in your home! Sometimes they are just too pretty to wrap up a present and be torn apart!

Musical Envelopes

Love the look for these, not sure how I would feel about chopping up any actual music sheets to do this though!

DIY Braided Layered Scarf

Hmm... Now I'm thinking of whether I have a spare t-shirt that I don't want anymore that I can convert to this type of a scarf. Great weekend project, tutorial following the link!
