Project 365: Day 315

Project 365: Day 315

The cat always hides under the bed when we're packing or there is all this stuff that is going on and she just doesn't know what to do!

Going travelling for two weeks, but this time there will be minimal daily updates while I'm away. Somehow I didn't even have any time before leaving to pre-draft some material, I was working up to the last minute! Since I don't have reliable internet access this time, I will have to leave you with the cat!

Project 365: Day 313

Project 365: Day 313

Perched below, under the table. Wondering why there is such a ruckus at home these days. Curious as usual.

Project 365: Day 305

Project 365: Day 305

Quiet Halloween - I guess that is what happens if you live in a condo, there aren't any trick or treaters! The cat still played the curious one very well that night.

Project 365: Day 301

Project 365: Day 301

The operative word for the cat was "play" and she did! She loves hiding in that spot behind the couch and will burst out to attack any errant arms or fingers that may come into view.

Project 365: Day 298

Project 365: Day 298

In her favourite hiding place, in behind the couch cushions. We were amused this evening by the pop-up cat.

Project 365: Day 297

Project 365: Day 297

Stayed up late to finish doing some reading and watching for the leadership class that I'm in. Apparently kitty did not approve, and promptly sat down on my binder.

Project 365: Day 293

Cat in a Hutch

What a miserable and cold looking day. I had the day off and just stayed at home doing some housekeeping items that needed to be taken care of today. Played with the cat, she was definitely the cuddling one today, so you get two more pictures today!

Well, I'm sure some of you may be sick of seeing my cat, so I have to get my butt in gear and get out and take some photos. There is a photography exhibition and the promise of decorating pumpkins, so that should be fun!

Stately Tuxedo Cat

Project 365: Day 292

Really, it was only Thursday but I was so tired. I wanted to be like her. Just curl up and stay warm inside without really having to think too much. You get two cat photos today!

One short presentation today in a half day's meeting, but it went off without a hitch. I bring new meaning to brevity in presentations, since I talked the lease out of anyone! However, I got my point across, which is all that I needed!

Project 365: Day 290

Project 365: Day 290

Long day on the road, came back and just crashed. Here's a peek-a-boo cat to keep you company.

Project 365: Day 288

Project 365: Day 288

Having not been home for a week, the cat found us particularly snuggly. Especially since we went out of the house for a couple of hours on Sunday to get the errands all done!

Project 365: Day 287

Project 365: Day 287

Saturday was full of unpacking, laundry and just lazing around the place and unwinding from the conference.

The cat has found a new bed though - our conference bags!

Project 365: Day 286

Project 365: Day 286

After a long week in Banff (yes, really, it was super tiring as conferences often are!), I was glad to get home to sleep in my own bed and see the little miss cat. Missed her curious face!

Project 365: Day 277

Project 365: Day 277

In an elegant pose... compared to her usual state of being. I think she was actually getting tired of me taking photos of her!

Project 365: Day 272

Project 365: Day 272

So tired from the day's activities that I just turned around and snapped a picture of the smirking cat.

Project 365: Day 269

Project 365: Day 267

The cat is hiding among the kitchen chairs as I'm sitting here watching the leadership videos. Love the reflection off her eyes of the rungs of the chair. The kitchen table has become my office until I have a more permanent spot. I definitely can't work from the couch for extended hours anymore, my hips can't take it!

Project 365: Day 266

Lazy Saturday Cat

Project 365: Day 266

A somewhat quiet Saturday with a lazy morning with the cat, I call this the "don't even think of bothering me look." She's got it down pat!

Had a short walk to return some things, get a coffee then the fantasy hockey pool draft in the afternoon. Comfort food was what was called for in the evening, with a delicious beef stir fry by the husband. He's really getting good at this!

Project 365: Day 260

Project 365: Day 260

She always looks surprised, as if we weren't supposed to know that she dove in behind the couch cushions. Oh, silly cat! The posts are definitely cat heavy these days, perhaps I'll do that for the full week then transition back into some of my other shots that I take on a daily basis.

A bit of a runaround day with the gym, some shopping and then taking it easy for the evening. All in all a relaxing Sunday. Browsed through my issue of Flare where there is an article on being overwhelmed, followed by one on optimism. It comes at an appropriate time for me to watch for those things in the coming months. Gives me a perspective and illustrates a lesson that many people that I know need to learn as well.

Project 365: Day 259

Project 365: Day 259

Homemade Tortillas

My cat is female, she loves her shoes and purses and will find any opportunity to make a bed from them. Today was one of those days where she was pretty much glued to this purse that was sitting on the ottoman. I'm not sure why it was so attractive to her today!

A bit of a slow Saturday, but I did manage to try my hand at making homemade tortillas following this recipe, with a substitution of butter for lard. They turned out pretty well, though I may have cooked them a bit long at first as the first few were pretty stiff. Adjusting the cooking time towards the end had them coming up just right, so I guess it's just a matter of practicing my technique! Probably will try with whole wheat flour the next time around for another option. I think I've managed to eliminate the need to buy most of our bread products. Next up is bagels!

Project 365: Day 258

Project 365: Day 258

What's that?

So very glad that week is done. I think I've done enough running around, thanks very much! My bookbag even looks a little tired! Bought this one a few years ago and it has served me well ever since. Only has a bit of warping in the leather the one time I got caught in a downpour.

Well, it's time for the weekend, and here is one gratuitous cat shot that made me chuckle! She's been featured a lot lately - not sure if it's because I'm just too tired after a long day at work, but she's an easy subject with lots of different facial expressions that are difficult to capture.

Not sure what I'm getting up to for the weekend yet, but I'm enjoying a slow start to my Saturday with a tea and a light breakfast... how about you guys?

Project 365: Day 257

Project 365: Day 257

Hanging out in my husband's lap. She seems to jump right there whenever he sits in that chair!

A long day and sinus headaches made it for a quiet evening at home. Just doing some housekeeping so that I can relax this weekend!
