Come with Me to Touch the Sky

Just remember, aim high and reach for the sky. That's how we can constantly make our life inspirational and interesting for ourselves. Cute illustration found, and can be bought on Etsy.

Movable Kitchen Island

I really like how unfussy this little island is, and it's even on wheels! Great for making some more storage, give some durability for a workspace and without having to sacrifice flexibility in a smaller kitchen. If you follow the link, there are a ton of pictures that might inspire you for your next kitchen!

Pink Blossom Canopy

Absolutely beautiful, so inspiring that I want to go and see it for myself! Anyone know where this is?

Art Supply Storage

A place for everything. Messy and organized all at the same time, I love it! I too, will have to think about how I will be storing my stuff. Just ordered a bunch of paint supplies from Curry's!

Read this, and loved this. I may have to buy some to gift! Practical items for your kitchen too!

33 Ways to Stay Creative

A good list to read once in a while. Something to keep in mind as the work is tiresome, sometimes numbing, and the days are long.

Office Organization Inspiration

Amazing light and places to put things. I would love somewhere to work like this, might even be inspired to work more and create more! Now if it had a set aside layout table for drawing and painting, it would be perfect...

Binkie Shapiro

Loved her outfits as soon as I saw them. I would love to wear these kind of things with the air and confidence that she does! I do however, have some of these clothes or similar, time to rock and style!

Home Coffee Bar

I love this little coffee bar for the home. So cozy for all your daily things and for guests! I would probably include it for tea and the like too if I could have the room for something like this. Perhaps in my next home I could make a space for it!

Portel iPhone Retro-Modern Leather Wallet

I've posted wallets previously before by Portel, but now that I've seen this, I don't know which one I like better! I love the simple access to the phone, rather than having to open it up. One drawback is having all the cards on the outside. In either case, both options offer me, the girl who hates purses, one convenient way to put it all in one place.

Wool Hunting Jacket

I'm in full-out, looking at jackets mode. Loving this simple and clean one, just been attracted to greys again lately!

Thursday, November 24, 2011

There is nothing more I like than a good read by the fireplace. Seriously, I do not read enough anymore as an adult. I love escaping into another world and losing myself in reading. The day was kind of strange and rough, so tonight is a night where I'm going now to curl up in bed and fall asleep reading - then my husband will have to quietly remove my glasses, stow my book and turn off my lamp - guess it isn't all bad!

Today was my first day back to the gym in a while. It was a bit rough, but I needed to do it, to start moving again and to do something for me. It's been a crazy time lately, with work and I'm stressed out and running a bit thin. This picture reminds me that I want that focus again on my health, mentally and physically.

Soaring Ceilings

I love the soaring ceilings here, and the starkness of the white decor. It's kind of shabby chic and elegant at the same time.

Butterflies and Music Notes Tattoo

Beautiful tattoo concept, I love how the butterflies float away from the musical staff. Grounded in music.

National Geographic Photo Contest

The National Geographic Photo Contest is still open until November 30, for those who are interested. I love looking at these every year, so many interesting and amazing photos that come out in spades for this competition! I just pulled a few of the ones that I liked so far, I hope that one day I can compete in this too!

Navy and Yellow Layers

Great use of a pop of colour in this outfit. Though it's a bit cold now for something like this for me, it would do well underneath a good winter coat!

Black Sheep and Prodigal Sons

Amazing gothic styled pieces that I stumbled upon. I'm not into super intricate things so this caught my eye. Always have been attracted to bird, wings and feather themes...something about flying, floating and being lighter than air, at least for a little bit.

Gas Stoves

I love the look of gas stoves, and how they are instantly hot and cook very evenly. However, sometimes I do find them finicky, so I haven't decided yet whether I would go gas or not in my next place.

Attic Play Space

This is truly an amazing and polished attic. Even the cute playhouse to the side! I would love to have such an open space like this to work in!

DIY Zippered Case

The more I think about it, the more that I want to buy a sewing machine and learn how to make some of these things. Maybe even branch out to learn how to make some of my basic clothes! Here is a simple tutorial for zippered bags, following the link. I'm thinking I could do this by hand, and have cases for my pencils and markers, and a new updated one for my makeup!

Blue, Orange and Grey Outfit

I like to browse polyvore to just see what people think up. This is a simpe outfit that combines some of my favourite colour combination, blue and orange! Haven't bought anything orange yet, but thinking of a statement bag, like this satchel.

Oversized Grey Knit Sweater

Natural Light Closet

Beautiful, I love the idea of having natural light as part of your closet space. Those doors are fantastic, and just imagine being able to get dressed and do your makeup in a space like this! For this, it was a conversion of a room into a closet space.

DIY Canvas Portrait

Embrace Messy Hair

Lately I've been trying to wash my hair less often, given how dry and cold the climate is here. The next step is figuring out how to style it and make it look good! Often I'm too lazy and leave it straight, but I've got to try new styles more often!
