Rainbow Moleskine

It's amazing how many variations of these there are. I love all the colours, if I could afford it, I'd probably have one of each to scribble in, who needs a tablet!

Summer Reading

Summer books means lots of summer reading! I have been making my way through a few lately, even burning through 2.5 books while on vacation in Portland! I always loved to read, even as a kid - really the only slow time for reading I had was during university, when reading was less fun and more required.

Hide and Read

Just hide away and read for an afternoon, sounds like my kind of day!

Bookstore Cats

I've actually seen many bookstores where there is a resident cat! Does seem rather peaceful and quiet, and they really just nest just about everywhere. I love the feel of the photo - flipping through some sheet music on a quiet sunny day with a cat just snoozing above.

Great Library Rooms

This is what I think of when I hear the term "great room" or "grand library." A place that surrounds you in books, beautiful life and another place to escape.

Finnick and Annie

I love stumbling across fan artwork for books where the characters so closely resemble how I imagine them in the story.

Katniss' Fire Dress

Some of these sketches depicting Katniss' outfit look pretty amazing. Unfortunately, what I imagine it to be like and how it is portrayed here and potentially in the film will likely be vastly different. It's probably why I love books so much, you can imagine so much more than what can ever be put down on paper or life.

I did quite enjoy the Hunger Games triology. Although I'm not a young adult, I found them to be well-paced, interesting and written. It does however, remind me much in principle of Battle Royale. All in all a fun, fast read.

Books

There is nothing more I like than a good read by the fireplace. Seriously, I do not read enough anymore as an adult. I love escaping into another world and losing myself in reading. The day was kind of strange and rough, so tonight is a night where I'm going now to curl up in bed and fall asleep reading - then my husband will have to quietly remove my glasses, stow my book and turn off my lamp - guess it isn't all bad!

Leather Notebooks

Every time I see something like this, I want them. There is something magical about having books around that you can just scribble in.

Journals

This is a neat idea that I'm going to keep in the back of my mind - a journal for each of your children.

I have tons and tons of notebooks and journals, some scribbled all over, some haven't even started. I just love looking and feeling the texture and design of them! Mine generally are blank or grid patterned, as I tend to sketch more than I write.
