Dancers Among Us
A fun project that I stumbled upon the other day. Some of the photos are fun, whimsical and thoughtful but more than anything the desire to perform is in their blood and infuses their lives on a daily basis!

DIY Quotable Dinnerware
This seems like a fun project to undertake, to personalize your own dinnerware with your favourite quotes. Perhaps in the new year... these would make fantastic gifts as well!

The Home of Jessica Bennett
Mmm, I love the touches to the hallway and to the office, especially those old maps hanging on the wall. It's a nice blend of neutral and dark textures and colour. This blog is pretty fun to scan through too, lots of inspiration for home decor and what you might be able to do with your home!

Holstee Manifesto
Words to live by and to remind ourselves of once in a while. I may have to get this print, as I do support the mindset that this company abides by, to design and curate with a conscience.

30 Day Photo Challenge: Gratitude
Not yet, but something to tag for later. I'm thinking of doing the photo a day for 2012, and it would be nice to pair it up with a couple of challenges, just to keep it interesting!

Fall-Winter Layers
Love the look of the this warm, rough and tumble outfit. Likely, I would lean towards jeans or black skinny pants though...

Hotel Kakslauttanen
Located in Finland, these igloo-like hotel rooms look really interesting and beautiful nestled in the landscape. I'd imagine with these glass dome ceilings, that if you were to be there when the aurora borealis lights up, it would be absolutely spectacular!

Etched Glass Storage Jars
Love how simple these are, and how easy it would be to make! I have been thinking about how to store my own baking stuff, as I really just leave them in the bags that they come in.

Painted Kitchens
Love the subtle colours of these two kitchens. The grey kitchen is my favourite out of the two, but that's because of that nice table that seats 8 and that wonderful, slightly imposing light fixture that frames the space. I would love to have a table like that, seat all of the family at once and be a big work area when needed!

La Fontaine Apartment
By Esrawe Studio. This apartment is a nice mix of aesthetics and multi-use spaces. I do love the open concept paired with lots of natural light and views to the outdoors. All the spaces just flow into one another, like they should.

Silver Stacking Rings
Love the delicate details of these stackable rings, as well as the gorgeous blue stone. While I don't wear anything really beyond my wedding ring for practical reasons, this would be great for everyday wear and just a touch of femininity.

Wintery Layers
Lovely way to layer and match the mood of winter colours. Not too practical for my climate, but could be adapted somewhat with tights or pants.

Warehouse Bedroom
Love the open feel of these soaring ceilings and the minimal approach to the bedroom. It would certainly get me to trim down my closet to the things I really do wear all the time!

Stripes and Blazer
Just love the punchy nature of the stripes, and the perfectly accented accessories.

Love the dramatic way the peacock features accent this dress. Great for a new year's eve party!

Craig Steely Architecture
It's inspiring to see architects take a challenge and make a sustainable, modern spin on how we live our spaces and how we bring those outside places into where we live. These are interesting and functional examples of his work.

Photo a Day
Hmmm. An idea for 2012, to see what kind of progression I will have with my photo taking skills and quality as I delve into the world of digital SLRs. I think I may have to challenge myself in that way! I think it will be neat to look back on it after the year is done and see what I have accomplished...

The New Domestic Home
What a beautiful home of the people of The New Domestic that feels complete with personality. I love the little quirks that make it feel lived in and loved.

Semi-Enclosed Office
I love this idea of creating a space with semi-glass walls. Some flexibility built in and separation for some seriousness for work without compromising the light and the space.
Pretty tired today and slow on the motivation front, will continue the posting tomorrow.

Putting this kind of shot on my bucket list for photography... it would be unreal to stand there and watch the moon rising...

Well Lived Attic Spaces
Just something about how well worn and cared for this space is. The pictures on the wall, the impeccable chair, and the mixing of textures and colours makes it very cozy.

Rear Windows
Inspiration for well thought out townhouses? I love these huge windows, they can set the stage for any beautiful room with lots of natural light.

Winterizing Home
Love these pictures by Sharyn Cairns, reminds me of the short days of winter that are currently upon us. It's moody, well worn, practical and reflective. It reminds me that even of the cold days, we can sit and still work hard in the kitchen, creating things that will help us through the winter.

Winter Layers
Love the light layer of the blouse with the heavier, winter worthy wear of the blazer.

El Mueble - Spanish Design
These are beautiful, so expansive with their windows and ceilings and a great place for conversations! If only we could build with such windows in a cold climate like we have. Ah well, at least some of these elements could be translated into my home if I have the time this winter!

Navy Stripes and Orange Clutch
I love the contrast of these two colours, pretty much my favourite two colours to paint with! A navy top would be great for layering in the winter too!

Vintage Luggage
Love the styling of this, I could imagine this in my home as a side table for the bedroom or even in my office! It would be great for storing things that I don't use often - jewellery, scrapbooking stamps and materials, even for winter clothes!

Duffle Coat and Men-style Shoes
Liking the looks from ba&sh. This ensemble reminds me of something that I would like to wear, I would love to find a pair of those shoes!!

Swirling Sparkler Wedding Picture
This seems like an interesting idea to try... I haven't experimented with sparklers in photography too much, but this could be fun. Long exposure on a tripod, with the couple staying very still and someone run around them with a sparkler. I wonder what can be done to reduce the ghosting of the person running around though...

Fake Trees
Pretty amazing what you can make from polypropylene pipes and cable ties! It really does evoke a very whimsical forest. An instalment by Tom Price in Washington, D.C..

Bird Tattoos
This and the ones following the link are interesting and inspirational for what I might want to do for a tattoo eventually. Though I love the high contrast black ink, I'm thinking in perhaps white ink just to make it more subtle, especially if I still work where I do. May have to try the idea posted in the link about temporary tattoos to get an idea for placement.

Casual and Warm Bicycle Friendly Layers
I really do love the look of all of this put together. I think in my case, I would have to go with a nice mid-tone grey sweater. Not really one to wear white myself, I think I only have 1 white button down in my whole closet! The shoes and the bag really seal the deal here for me!

Dining with Large Windows
Inspired by the large, dark framed windows. I could easily see myself working here for a few hours...

Lantern Festival, Honolulu
Remember those you loved, those that sacrificed for us to be here and make a wish for peace. Set your dreams afloat to the sea and let it be.
