Handmade Leather Goods
An example of some beautiful handmade leather goods. As he describes it, it's all hand put together, one at a time, with some simple tools. Unique and yields some simple and functional designs. In the day of cheap consumer goods, it's fantastic to see that time and effort is still being put into making some of these items.

Monochromatic Living Room
Beautiful and calming take on a monochromatic living room. I love the cushions and how everything comes together towards this richly coloured coffee table. Perhaps inspiration for my next home?

Ice Matters - Polar Bears
I was blown away by this bleak, but stunning image in Svalbard. The use of a fisheye lens by Anna Henly gives it an even more stark representation of what is happening to the land of the polar bears. Here, one lone polar bear is the only one for miles.

Wings Tattoo
What a simple and beautiful, yet intricate tattoo. I wonder how long it took for this to be complete?

Project 365: Day 302
A cold and wintery day calls for a hearty beef stew and homemade bread. This is one of my husband's favourites, the english muffin loaf. It's got a great crusty exterior and a chewy centre that is similar to an english muffin.
Spent part of the afternoon with some girls at the trade show, then came home to do some painting and cleaning. Getting things all put together at home, as some changes are coming!
Project 365: Day 301
The operative word for the cat was "play" and she did! She loves hiding in that spot behind the couch and will burst out to attack any errant arms or fingers that may come into view.
Natural, Neutral Dining Room
Loving this all natural look against the grey wall. Perfect for a dining room, or just a workstation. I could see myself happily working here with my laptop on a Sunday afternoon.

Love Bird Card
Too cute, I still have a thing for these bird cards. Simple line drawings are sometimes the best things.

Project 365: Day 300
Part of my outfit of the day. Warm and easy layers with a navy button down and long grey cardigan. Missing is the orange belt, which I took off as soon as I got home. While I was warm up top, today we did an outdoor tour and I wish I had worn warmer socks!
On another note, this is Day 300. Really? Where did all the time go? In some ways I've taken a huge step forward in the quality of the pictures that I have taken, and minimized the quantity of photos I take in a day. Fortunately, I have been able to keep up with Project 365 (even if there have been a disproportionate number of cat photos lately because of my schedule), and I'm sure proud and happy about that!
A thought. After buying the flash, there was definitely a whole new learning curve! I am now considering buying a tripod in the next little while, perhaps a whole new type of photography may emerge for the last 65 days.
Project 365: Day 299
Baking on Thursday night, all to greet our move to the other office on today! Sweet smelling, and quite tasty too. Followed this cranberry oatmeal recipe from Food.com and I'd say it was a winner. Very chewy and dense, though I would probably cut back on the sugar just a little bit.
Vintage Map Office
For our future office reference. The husband would love to have a giant vintage map on the wall... the question now is what city??

Painterly Birds
Beautiful sweeping motions that illustrate the sweeping grace of birds. I love these drawings, they are just so mesmerizing.

Baby Grand Room
I see images like this and sigh. I imagine sometimes that I could have the luxury of having my own room with a baby grand piano in it. So beautiful and I could spend hours in a place like this.

Project 365: Day 298
In her favourite hiding place, in behind the couch cushions. We were amused this evening by the pop-up cat.
Project 365: Day 297
Stayed up late to finish doing some reading and watching for the leadership class that I'm in. Apparently kitty did not approve, and promptly sat down on my binder.
12 Things Happy People Do Differently
Some good advice, based on the ideas of Stephen Covey (Seven Habits of Highly Effective People). While some may resonate more than others, I think it's good to review things like this periodically to ensure that we are enabling our own happiness.

Lounge Conversation
My next living room? Would love to have this lovely, deep seated sectional. Perfect for curling up with a coffee on a lazy Sunday afternoon, or to entertain some friends for a board game or two!

Project 365: Day 296
Yup. Winter seems to be here. Supposed to be more of the same all week, which means boots to keep the slush out and a tuque to keep my ears warm.
Miniature Worlds, Catherine Nelson
Truly amazing, these are part of her "Future Memories" series, she puts together these worlds using hundreds of photographs. There are so many layers of depth in this composition, I couldn't imagine how it would look like in person. Simply wonderful.

Monochromatic Blue
Perfect, easy and elegant. Add a dash of confidence. I may have to take a cue from this for one day this week.

Project 365: Day 295
It looks like winter has arrived. Woke up to a blanket of snow this morning, with flurries all day. Really didn't make me want to leave the condo or even get out of bed! Needless to say, I spent today indoors, catching up on some reading and just relaxing at home.
Fearne Cotton Style
Love the minimal lines and the great accessories of her style at the moment, especially the layering as the weather has gotten colder! Can I raid her closet?

Project 365: Day 294
Had a good time last night with friends, carving pumpkins. Resulted in a late night, but it was a lot of fun!
The Benefits of Drinking Coffee
Definitely needing caffeine this morning after a late night. Really, coffee is just simply delicious and warm.

Fast Eddie's Barber Shop
A great take on branding a classic American barbershop. I enjoy the starkness of the branding and the simplicity. Well done!

Polka Dot Flats and Little Elephant Earrings
A cute combination. I think now I need to go hunt down something similar for my daily office wear!

Project 365: Day 293
What a miserable and cold looking day. I had the day off and just stayed at home doing some housekeeping items that needed to be taken care of today. Played with the cat, she was definitely the cuddling one today, so you get two more pictures today!
Well, I'm sure some of you may be sick of seeing my cat, so I have to get my butt in gear and get out and take some photos. There is a photography exhibition and the promise of decorating pumpkins, so that should be fun!
Project 365: Day 292
Really, it was only Thursday but I was so tired. I wanted to be like her. Just curl up and stay warm inside without really having to think too much. You get two cat photos today!
One short presentation today in a half day's meeting, but it went off without a hitch. I bring new meaning to brevity in presentations, since I talked the lease out of anyone! However, I got my point across, which is all that I needed!
Sea Dragons
Today I found out that there are such things as sea dragons. Related to the sea horse, I stumbled upon these images of these creatures of the sea. Beautiful things, I wonder how it would be to watch them in the water...? Maybe I should travel to Australia to find out!

French Cafe
Dreaming of sitting and working in a cute little coffee shop this morning. Oh, if only I could! Even with all the distractions, maybe I'd be inspired for a few things.

Totoro Giant Floor Pillow
Gosh, this might sound silly, but I adore the idea of this giant Totoro pillow flopped down in the middle of the room. So cute, and would bring me right back to my childhood of watching My Neighbour, Totoro!

Rainy Day Colour
I could have used a pop of red in the past rainy days. Love how it plays on the blues and greys.

Project 365: Day 291
So exhausted right now, and it's only the middle of the week! I wish I could curl up in my bed, but I have to go out to fetch someone shortly. Soon! The bed beckons me, as does the weekend!
Turquoise Couch
Thinking that a blue/turquoise couch would be a fun addition to a living room. Dreaming of new furniture, but I don't have the space. Maybe I should just fix what I have first!
